The 144 Infantry Brigade, under the direction of the Commander of the Army, conducted a large-scale cleaning programme on 15th February 2025, as part of the government's Clean Sri Lanka initiative. The programme targeted key areas such as Polduwa Road, Parliament Road, Sri Lanka-Japan Friendship Road, the Thurumithiru Project area, and Diyawanna Lake.


Under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, in collaboration with the National Clean Sri Lanka Programme, with the direction of the Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), and the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division, troops of the 7(V) Regiment Sri Lanka Armoured Corps of 212 Infantry Brigade conducted a cleaning campaign at Ancient Temple in Awukana on 15th February 2025.


Corporal K.P.M.N Gunasekara of the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, serving at the 54 Infantry Division Headquarters, set an inspiring example of honesty by returning a lost wallet containing Rs. 102,220 along with important documents.


Under the direction of the Commander of the Army, the 12 Infantry Division conducted a beach cleaning programme on 09th February 2025 as part of the “Clean Sri Lanka Programme.” The initiative was carried out in close coordination with government officials of Hambantota, covering the coastal stretch from Hambantota to Tangalle.


Symbolizing the 77th National Independence Day, a programme to distribute school stationery materials including (school bags, shoes, books and water bottles) among school students was held on 04th February 2025 at Kirimatiyawa Gamini Vidyalaya, Kekirawa under the direction of Brigadier B.A.M.P Balasooriya RSP, the Commander 212 Infantry Brigade.
