A fully equipped new house was constructed and ceremonially vested in a needy family in Dematagahawela, Narammala. The initiative was made possible through the generous financial contribution of Mr A.B. Dean, coordinated by the Roshan Mahanama Foundation, with workforce assistance from troops of the 9 Sri Lanka National Guard under 571 Infantry Brigade and 1st Engineer Services Regiment.


Troops of 51 Infantry Division under command to Security Forces (Jaffna) conducted a donation programme at Puttur Madihe Pannasiha Vidyalaya in Jaffna for the students of Madihe Pannasiha Vidyalaya and Uduvil Murugamoorthy Vidyalaya, on 12 November 2025, as a part of Dhamma Yathra initiative, to commemorate the 170th Anniversary of the first ordination of the Sri Kalyani Samagri Dharma Maha Sabha in Kotte.


A Diabetes Awareness Programme was conducted on 14 November 2025 at the Army Hospital, Colombo, in conjunction with World Diabetes Day. The initiative focused on enhancing knowledge of diabetes, its prevention and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyle practices among Army personnel, their families and residents in the area.


Under the direction and supervision of Major General J.S.B.W. Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (East) and instructions of Major General G.P.P. Kulathilaka ndc, the General Officer Commanding, 23 Infantry Division, the 7th Battalion the Gemunu Watch organised a community welfare programme to distribute dry ration packs and clothing items to 100 low-income families.


Mr. Inoshan Suran, of Sri Lankan descent and currently residing in France, completed an extraordinary 10,000-kilometre cycling journey from Paris to Jaffna, covering 13 countries including Germany, Turkey, and India. Commencing his expedition on 1 September 2025, he successfully arrived in Jaffna on 23 October 2025.


The 7 Field Engineer Regiment (7 SLE) conducted an Explosive Ordnance Risk Awareness Programme for the villagers at the Serunuwara 215 F Welfare Community Centre on 19 October 2025. The programme was organised in response to a request made by the Grama Niladhari of the Serunuwara GN Division.
