Army War College Installs RO Plant to Supply Drinking Water to Troops

To provide drinking water for the troops at the Army War College (AWC), a new Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was installed at the premises on 12 December 2024 during a simple ceremony under the guidance of Major General H.H.K.S.S Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commandant of the Army War College.

New Accommodation Building for Other Ranks Opened at MIR

A newly constructed accommodation building for Other Ranks at the Mechanized Infantry Regiment (MIR) was declared open on 29 November 2024 by Major General W.M.S.C.K Wanasinghe RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of the 21 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment MIR.

Opening of Renovated Officers’ Accommodation of 14 Infantry Division

Under the guidance of Major General K.A.W.N.H. Bandaranayake USP, the General Officer Commanding of the 14 Infantry Division, six renovated rooms for Officers were inaugurated on 25 November 2024.

Troops of 2 (V) VIR Construct Two Houses

The troops of 2 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) constructed a new house for a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the battalion at Lunupahichchawa, Madawachchiya. The project, carried out under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of 2 (V) VIR, was funded by contributions from retired and serving Officers and Other Ranks of 2 (V) VIR.

New Kitchen Opened at 4 SLLI

Under the guidance of Major P.K. Waruwangodage RWP RSP USP, the Commanding Officer of the 4 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), troops of the 4 SLLI constructed a new kitchen for Other Ranks and ceremonially opened on 31 October 2024 at the 4 SLLI in Dambulla.

7 SLA Troops Construct a New Home for a Soldier in Minneriya

The troops of the 7 Sri Lanka Artillery (7 SLA), constructed a new house at Maharathmale-Minneriya for a Non-Commissioned Officer of the 7 SLA, under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division and the supervision of the Commander, 231 Infantry Brigade.

4 SLLI Constructs a New House for a Soldier

Under the guidance of Mrs. Vajira Perera, Chairperson of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Seva Vanitha Branch (SLLI – SVB), the SLLI troops initiated a housing project on 06 July 2024.

Inauguration of New Senior Non-Commissioned Officers' Block

Under the guidance of Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 56 Infantry Division, a new Senior Non-Commissioned Officers' Block at the Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess was inaugurated on 14 September 2024.
