Troops of the 11th Battalion Gemunu Watch and the Regimental Centre Gemunu Watch successfully rescued five individuals who had fallen down a steep slope near Baker’s Bend along Nonperiyal Road in Belihuloya on 10 June 2025.

The 9th Sri Lanka National Guard (9 SLNG), in collaboration with the Blood Bank, Kurunegala Teaching Hospital, organised a blood donation campaign at the Battalion Headquarters in Heraliyawala on 08 June 2025.
The 54 Infantry Division, in collaboration with medical staff from the Adampan Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Office, conducted a medical clinic on 07 June 2025 at Vellankulam Government Tamil Mixed School in Mannthai (West). The initiative aimed at providing essential healthcare services to communities in the area. Around 125 families from nearby villages were offered services including general consultations, eye care, dental treatments, mental health and nutritional advice, and blood tests.

The 38th remembrance of the Aranthalawa massacre was solemnly commemorated on 2 June 2025 at the Aranthalawa International Buddhist Center. The massacre, which occurred on 2 June 1987 in Ampara District, claimed the lives of 33 Buddhist monks and four civilians at the hands of the LTTE.
Troops of the 17 Gemunu Watch under the 512 Infantry Brigade conducted a donation programme at Sanmugan Pre-School in Pumpugar, Ariyalai, Jaffna on 02 June 2025, under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division and the supervision of the Commander 512 Infantry Brigade.
A special Dengue Prevention Programme was conducted on 31 May 2025 in Kalatuwawatte area with the participation of troops from 2(V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry, in collaboration with the Kotikawatta–Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha and Public Health Inspectors of Gathatuwa.
Troops of 51 Infantry Division organised a school bag donation programme at Palali North GTM School on 29 May 2025, benefiting 40 schoolchildren from low-income families.
In line with the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative and under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, a cleaning programme was conducted on 25 May 2025, covering the “Fox Hill” area in Diyatalawa, a location frequently visited by both local and foreign tourists.
