Under the guidance of Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, Commander, Security Forces (East) and the instructions of the Commander, 232 Infantry Brigade, the troops of the 232 Infantry Brigade conducted a lunch packet and yogurt distribution programme on 04th February 2025.


Under the guidance of Brigadier W.K.S.P.M.R.A.B Dodamwala psc, Commander of 522 Infantry Brigade, and the supervision of Major S.H Sudhusinghe, Commanding Officer of the 10th Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (10 VIR), the troops of 10 VIR conducted a tree planting programme at St. Anthony's Church, Manalkadu, on 04th February 2025 in conjunction with the 77th National Independence Day.


Under the vision of General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, with the guidance of the Commander - 141 Infantry Brigade and the close supervisions of Major N.C Karunarathne RSP USP psc, Commanding Officer of the 6th Field Artillery Regiment (6 SLA), and Major Y.D.N De Silva RWP RSP, Commanding Officer of the 8th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry (8 SLLI), troops conducted community service projects for residents at "Sevana" Elderly Home and "Isuru" Children’s Home in Attanagalla on 04th February 2025.


Under the guidance of Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, Commander, Security Forces (East), and Brigadier W.S.R Kumara USP Isc, Project Officer of Security Forces (East), an operation was conducted in collaboration with the 12th Battalion of the Gemunu Watch, the Department of Wildlife Conservation (Wildlife Office at Piburaththawa), and Mahaweli Officers to translocate 21 wild elephants from Weeralanda Tank to Maduru Oya National Park on 1st February 2025.


Under the guidance of Commander of the Army, conjunction with the “Clean Sri Lanka” project and the government’s efforts to beautify and systematize the motherland, Commanding Officer, 8 Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment organized a tree planting programme on 30th January 2025 at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage premises.
