In line with the Clean Sri Lanka initiative, the 543 Infantry Brigade successfully conducted a Drug Awareness Programme and distributed school accessories to 100 students of Government Tamil Mixed School, Thalaimannar, in collaboration with the Shanti Community Animation Movement Colombo on 14 March 2025, under the guidance of Colonel H.S.W.K Galhenage RWP RSP USP psc, Commander of the 543 Infantry Brigade.


The 221 Infantry Brigade organised a blood donation programme on 12 March 2025 at the Brigade Headquarters in line with its 15th Anniversary under the guidance of the Commander of the 221 Infantry Brigade. A total of 61 donors, including Army and Police personnel from the area, voluntarily donated blood for this noble cause.


The 542 Infantry Brigade organized a Cultural Dance Competition on 08 March 2025 at the Mannar Town Hall as part of the Clean Sri Lanka Project. The event, themed “Values of Tamil Culture Dance,” aimed to foster ethnic and social harmony, enhance the skills of school children, and strengthen trust between the Army and the Mannar community.


The prefects’ investiture ceremony of Sri Kavishwara Weluwanarama Sri Sugatha Dharmodaya Dhamma School was held at the temple premises on 02nd March 2025. Major General K.A.U Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding of the 11 Infantry Division, graced the event as the Chief Guest, following an invitation from the Rev. Principal Thero.


Under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, in line with the "Clean Sri Lanka" Programme, with the direction of the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), and the instructions of the General Officer Commanding of the 51 Infantry Division, troops of the10th Battalion of Sri Lanka Artillery, conducted a cleaning and painting initiative at St. Joseph College, Mathagal on 28th February 2025.
