Troops of the 54 Infantry Division conducted a Dengue Prevention Programme on 09 July 2025, in line with the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative, in the under-command areas of the 541, 542, and 543 Infantry Brigades. The programme covered 100 selected schools in the area.
Simultaneously, troops of the 56 Infantry Division and its under-command Brigades and Battalions carried out a dengue eradication campaign on the same day, covering 18 schools and one hospital within the 56 Infantry Division’s area of responsibility.
In addition, 59 Infantry Division in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Vocational Education, covered 79 schools within the 59 Infantry Division’s area of responsibility.
Further, a Dengue Eradication Programme was conducted on 09 July 2025 within the 212 Infantry Brigade’s area, covering 09 selected schools.
These campaigns were aimed at educating the public and engaging school communities to actively support the ongoing efforts to control and eradicate dengue.
