The second stage of an Awareness Programme on Etiquette for Regimental Sergeant Majors (RSMs) is conducted by the Directorate of Training on 14 and 15 October 2025 at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Light Infantry, with the participation of 206 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) representing various Regiments of the Army.


In line with the 76th Army Day Celebration, the troops of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) repaired medical equipment at Kosgama Government Hospital. Major General K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Commandant of SLAVF, vested the equipment in the hospital authorities on 07 October 2025 during a simple ceremony.


In conjunction with the 76th Army Day celebrations held on 10 October 2025, and based on the recommendations made by the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyyakontha (Retd), and Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army, His Excellency the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, has approved the promotions of five Brigadiers who were wounded in action, in recognition of their dedicated service to the nation. These officers have been officially promoted to the rank of Major General.


On the occasion of the 76th Army Day, the Commander of the Army states that troops must remain professional and agile in their duty to secure the nation. Furthermore, he stressed their essential role in strengthening reconciliation efforts and upholding the country's economic, social and cultural heritage.


Major General A.A.D.P Kulathilaka USP ndc psc of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps, who was recently promoted to the rank of Major General, received the symbol of authority and greetings from Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, during a formal courtesy call held on 09 October 2025 at the Army Headquarters.


Major General D.R.N. Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding, 59 Infantry Division, was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 08 October 2025, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after a distinguished military career spanning over 34 years.


Major General M.P.N.A. Muthumala USP psc, General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 08 October 2025, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after completing a distinguished military career spanning over 34 years.


14th Indo-Pacific Armies' Chiefs Conference (IPACC), the 49th Indo-Pacific Army Management Seminar (IPAMS) and the 11th Senior Enlisted Leaders Forum (SELF), were held from 23 to 26 September 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event co-hosted by the Malaysian Army and United States Army. Major General D.K.S.K Dolage USP nps psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army attended IPACC as Head of Delegation representing the Commander of the Army. Brigadier T.M.S.J Thennakoon RSP and Lt Col M.A.K.R.K Abeywickramasinghe RWP RSP psc participated in IPAMS.
