The 4th Board of Management (BOM) of the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) was successfully convened on 26 February 2026. The session was chaired by Major General D.K.S.K. Dolage USP nps psc, Chief of Staff of the Army and Chairman of the Board.


The Army War College successfully convened its 3rd Board of Management meeting on 25 February 2026 at its premises in Buttala. The meeting was presided by Major General D.K.S.K. Dolage USP nps psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and focused on key aspects of infrastructure development and the modernisation of teaching and learning processes, paving the way for enhanced operational effectiveness.


Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Army, paid an official visit to the Regimental Centre of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 26 February 2026. Upon his arrival, the Army Chief was warmly received by Major General B.G.S. Fernando USP Hdmc psc and Senior Officers of the Regiment. He was accorded a Guard Turnout by the troops, followed by a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the parade square.


Major General K.V.N.P. Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited the 2nd (V) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) at Kelanimulla and the 2nd (V) Battalion of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) at Katunayake on 24 February 2026.


Under the guidance of the Commander of the Army, the Directorate of Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), conducted a welfare camp for disabled retired personnel as part of a series of ongoing welfare programmes on 24 February 2026 at the Headquarters of the 22 Infantry Division, Trincomalee. The initiative aimed to address the healthcare needs of Army veterans residing in the Trincomalee District.
