Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the outgoing Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the Gajaba Regiment (GR), was invited to the Office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, along with his family members on 23 June 2025, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after completing a distinguished career spanning over 36 years.


Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the outgoing Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army was invited to the Office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, along with his family members on 20 June 2025, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after completing a distinguished military career spanning over 36 years.


Under the guidance of Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, the official website of the Sri Lanka Army, www.army.lk, one of the most frequently visited defence platforms in the country, has been re-designed to enhance user experience, marking a significant step forward in the Army’s digital transformation journey. The updated website will be live for viewers from 18 June 2025.


Major General D.K.S.K Dolage USP nps psc, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), visited the 7th (Volunteer) Regiment of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) on 13 June 2025. Upon arrival, he was accorded a drive pass and warmly welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel M.W. Vishvamithra psc, the Commanding Officer of 7 (V) SLAC.
