Under the direction of the Commander of the Army, Directorate of Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), conducted a medical camp for disabled retired personnel as part of a series of medical programmes on 19 September 2025 at the Combat Training School, Ampara. The initiative aimed to address the healthcare needs of Army veterans residing in the Eastern Province.


Lieutenant General R.S Raman PVSM AVSM YSM, Director General of Military Intelligence (DGMI) of the Indian Army, together with his delegation comprising Brigadier S.S Dhaliwal SC YSM SM, Colonel Yash Vardhan Patel, Colonel Ashish Sood, Captain Anand Mukundan of Indian Navy - Defence Attaché, High Commission of India to Sri Lanka, Lieutenant Colonel Vikrant Vishwasrao Deshmukh, and Lieutenant Colonel Mandeep Singh - Assistant Defence Attaché, High Commission of India to Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, on 17 September 2025 at the Commander’s Office, Army Headquarters.


In line with the National Action Plan to Eliminate Bribery and Corruption from Sri Lanka, the Presidential Secretariat and the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), in collaboration with the Internal Affairs Unit (IAU) of the Sri Lanka Army, successfully conducted a one-day Anti-Corruption Training Programme on 12 September 2025 at the Army Headquarters Auditorium, Colombo.


A group of representatives of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces Veterans Association (SLAFVA) pinned a Poppy flower on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, at the Commander’s office on 12 September 2025 in parallel with the forthcoming Poppy Day, which recalls the memories of all fallen War Heroes.
