In response to a request made by the Ranaviru Seva Authority, five vehicles were officially handed over this afternoon (20th May) at the vehicle premises of the Presidential Secretariat to support the medical care and rehabilitation of differently-abled War Heroes residing in welfare centres.
HE the President Hon. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, coincident with the 16th National War Heroes’ Day has promoted a total of 134 Officers of the Sri Lanka Army (Regular and Volunteer Force). Further, 10093 Other Ranks of the Army were also promoted to their respective next rank by Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army.
