Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, graced the Experience Sharing Workshop of the Special Infantry Operations Course No. 78, held at the Regimental Centre of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Panagoda, on 22 January 2026. The Special Infantry Operations Course is designed to enhance soldiers’ endurance, strategic thinking, and small-team operational capabilities.


Major General J.D Samarasekara RSP USP ndc psc, the Deputy General Officer Commanding of Headquarters, 11 Infantry Division, was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 20 January 2026, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army following a distinguished military career spanning over 33 years.


Major General K.A.N. Rasika Kumara ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services, was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 13 January 2026, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army following a distinguished military career spanning over 35 years.


Major General K.L.I. Karunanayaka RWP RSP ndc and Major General K.P.P. Karunanayaka, who were recently promoted to their present rank, received the symbol of authority and best wishes from Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, during a formal courtesy call held on 05 January 2026 at the Army Headquarters.
