Major General G.L.S.W Liyanage USP nps psc, Chief Signal Officer of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 19 November 2025, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after a distinguished military career spanning over 35 years.


Major General K.V.N.P Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), undertook his maiden visit to the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Training School (SLAVFTS) on 14 November 2025.

Major General M.W.A.R.C Wijesuriya RSP USP ndc, General Officer Commanding of 21 Infantry Division, was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 13 November 2025, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army after a distinguished military career spanning over 34 years.


The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), in collaboration with Lions International District 306 D6, launched a large-scale charitable programme titled “Weights of Hearts in Need Cherished by the Hands of Compassion” on 10 November 2025 at the Headquarters, SLAVF.
