Major General W.M.S.C.K Wanasinghe RSP USP was invited to the office of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, on 06 February 2025, along with his family members, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army.

The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, along with Mrs. Swendrini Rodrigo, received blessings from the clergy and sacred sites, including the Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwanweli Seya, on 5th February 2025.

Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) of the Sri Lanka Army, chaired the Board of Management (BOM) meeting at Ranaviru Apparel (RVAPL) on 30th January 2025.

Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commandant (Overlooking) of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF), conducted an official visit to the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka National Guard on 05th February 2025.

Ms. Sohngyee JUNG, Deputy Head of Mission also joined the delegation for the courtesy visit.

Major General W.P.A.D.W Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel of the Regiment of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), paid an official visit to the 3rd Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment on 31st January 2025.

Warrant Officer II Samitha Dulan Kodithuwakku of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP), who achieved a remarkable feat by winning a silver medal in the Men’s F44 Javelin Throw event setting a new world record of 67.03 meters at the Paris Paralympics 2024, was presented with a new javelin by the Prime Minister at the Ministry of Education on January 29.

The 11th Contingent of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC), set to operate the Level - 2 SRIMED Hospital under the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), received a ceremonial send-off at the SLAMC Regimental Headquarters, Werahera, on 31st January 2025.
