Former Gajaba Regiment Veteran Calls on Commander of the Army

Major General G.V.D.U.A Perera (Rtd) RWP RSP VSV USP USAWC psc, one of the most senior veterans in the ‘Keterian’ family, Gajaba Regiment this morning (15 June 2023) paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army at the Army HQ.

Major General G.V.D.U.A Perera (Rtd), one of the proud products of the Gajaba Regiment who retired from the Army in April 2017 has rendered a notable service to the Army at both operational, administrative and academic levels and remains to-date as a famed educator cum lecturer.

The Army Chief during the brief interactive meeting recalled the retired Senior Officer’s valuable contribution to the Army holding varied and responsible appointments during his career of more than 34 years. He also extended best wishes to the visiting Senior Keterian by presenting a memento. The gesture was reciprocated.
