Women Soldiers in Recruit Course No-38 Pass out at Sandunpura

The Passing Out Parade (POP) ceremony of the Recruits' Course (women) No-38 got underway at Sandunpura Women's Corps Training School on Saturday (04 March), headed by Major General Saliya Amunugama, General Officer Commanding of the 22 Infantry Division.

The six-month long Recruits' Course comprised 71 women recruits, belonging to the Sri Lanka Engineers, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Military Intelligence Corps, and the Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps.

The day's Chief Guest took the salute of those recruits and addressed them highlighting the importance of their service to the organization and the country at large.

Following recruits were awarded certificates for their best performances in the course.

Best in Physical fitness - Recruit J.M.D.M Jayasekara

Best Shooter - Recruit B.N.K Sewmini
