Troops of the 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) of the 141 Infantry Brigade contributed their manpower for preparations before the erection of the Vesak pandol and the Vesak Zone at Veyangoda Gunasiri Sangabo Viharaya in the temple premises.
Troops cleaned up the entire temple compound on Wednesday (3) and piled up garbage before they were removed in tractors.
This support was given on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 14 Infantry Division and the Brigade Commander, 141 Infantry Brigade under the close supervision of the Commanding Officer, 6 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery.
