Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) Organises Blood Donation Campaign to Support Northern Healthcare

At the request of the Blood Bank of Jaffna Teaching Hospital, a blood donation programme was successfully conducted at the Nursing Training School, Jaffna, under the guidance of Major General K.T.P de Silva RSP ndu psc, the Commander, Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna).

The initiative was jointly organised by the Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna), the 51 Infantry Division, the 512 Infantry Brigade and the Army Hospital - Palaly, with the primary objective of addressing the critical shortage of blood supplies affecting healthcare institutions across the Northern Province. 22 members of the civilian community from the Jaffna area, the Commander of the Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) with 05 Officers and 160 Other Ranks representing the Security Forces (Jaffna) voluntarily contributed to the effort by donating blood.

Medical support for the programme was provided by the Army Hospital - Palaly, in collaboration with the medical staff of the Blood Bank, Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
