Troops of the 522 Infantry Brigade doused a fast spreading bush fire in the general area of Pachchapalai in Jaffna on Tuesday (Aug 01) due to dry weather patterns. As soon as the news was reported, a team of Army personnel including an Officer rushed to the location and managed to extinguish the fast-spreading fire within a short time before it would escalate and catch adjacent areas too.
