553 Brigade in 55 Division under the Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) celebrated Sinhala and Tamil New Year at the Sathyaveli sports grounds on Wednesday (17).
The day’s itinerary was filled with both Sinhala and Tamil traditional games and many fun making events.
Brigadier B.H.M.A Wejesingha, General Officer Commanding 55 Division graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Rev Father Jesting, Rev Father Jesurathnam, representatives of the police, a large number of villagers and many senior officers were present at the occasion.
