Students in Varani area, Jaffna had the rare chance of receiving knowledge on IT thanks to the efforts of the 52 Division and 522 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters, Jaffna.
As the first phase of the project, 110 students from Ushan Ramanadan Vidyalayam underwent IT training during the workshop, held on Wednesday (13) beginning at 9.00 a.m.
Mr Selvakumar Jakileshan, Manager at Chavakachcheri IT Training Center, together with Mr Saudiraj, Mr Danajijayaji, Mr Ruban and a few more officials assisted the Army to provide this training to those students. The programme is to be spread to other areas within the next couple of months.
The inaugural occasion of the training workshop, was attended by several senior officers including the 522 Brigade Civil Affairs Officer, 10 Sri Lanka National Guard, Commanding Officer, Mr T Sodalingam, Principal, Ushan Ramanadan Vidyalaya, teachers and several others.
