Seventeen orphaned children, resident at Ashram Children’s Home in Iranamadu, Kilinochchi area received gifts and birthday wishes when those seventeen celebrated their birthday on July (29).
Security Forces Headquarters, Killinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) in cooperation with the 57 Division Headquarters organized the arrangement, headed by Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, SFHQ-KLN.
Major General Perera, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division and a few senior officers visited the Ashram Children’s Home and entertained those birthday boys and girls in the place.
Inmates at the Children’s Home welcomed the visitors warmly and conducted them to the main hall for the birthday celebration. Senior officers spent a few hours with those children and gave away refreshments and gift parcels.
Administrators of the place as well as teachers of the home attended the occasion.
