Music fans and youngsters in their hundreds flocked to the public esplanade at Kilinochchi recently to listen to Tamil and Sinhala singers when the MILCO, a subsidiary under Ministy of Livestock Development staged a mammoth musical evening.
Minister Arumugam Thondaman, MILCO Chairman, Mr Sunil Wickremasinghe, Mrs Anuri Dissanayake, Chairperson, Mahaweli Livestock Enterprises, Major General Chandana Rajaguru, Commander, Security Forces Kilinochchi, Mr Sanjaya Lilaratne, Deputy Chairman, MILCO, Senior State and Police officials attended the evening that brought fun and enjoyment to a packed audience. Popular artistes added their voice to the music, provided by the band, Apsara group. It was an evening filled with enjoyment, fun and music. The day’s event commenced after lighting the traditional oil lamp.
