The Directorate of Internal Audit conducted a two-day Strategic Capacity-Building Training Programme titled “Empowering Internal Oversight through Strategic Training Initiatives” for all ranks of the Directorate, from 22 to 23 January 2026 at the Army Headquarters.
An awareness programme on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) was successfully conducted on 30 January 2026 at the Auditorium of Security Force Headquarters (East) under the “Healthy Army – Healthy Nation” initiative.
The Battalion Support Weapons SNCOs/NCOs Course No. 103 (2025–II) concluded with a Certificate Awarding Ceremony held on 27 January 2026 at the Infantry Training Centre (ITC), Minneriya.
The Refresher Workshop for Junior Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers was successfully conducted from 19 to 24 January 2026 at the Airmobile Training School, Nikawewa, with the participation of 10 Officers and 53 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs).
A workshop on sports injury prevention was conducted at the Sports Development and Management Centre auditorium, Panagoda on 20 January 2026 for Army Sports Personnel.
The Passing Out Parade of the Special Infantry Operations (SIO) Course No 78 was held on 19 January 2026 at the Army Training School (ATS), Maduruoya. The course was conducted from 11 July 2025 to 19 January 2026.
A Taekwondo training session was successfully conducted at the Army Physical Training School, Panagoda on 08 January 2026.The programme was conducted by United Kingdom instructors, with Grand Master Derek Sumner, Chief Instructor of the Living Well Taekwondo Academy, providing valuable technical, tactical and motivational exposure to Army Taekwondo athletes and coaches.
The Directorate of Legal Services, Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, successfully conducted the Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Course No 31 (Officers) from 24 November 2025 to 23 December 2025 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).
The Physical Training Instructor Courses concluded with a formal passing-out ceremony on 19 December 2025 at the Army Physical Training School (APTS), Panagoda.
