Training
An awareness lecture on illegal pyramid investment schemes was conducted at the Army Headquarters on 24 July 2025, under the directives of the Commander of the Army and the close supervision of the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army. The event was organised by the Directorate of Provost, with the assistance of the Directorate of Training.
In a notable gesture of bilateral defense cooperation, the United States Embassy in Sri Lanka officially donated a consignment of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) training equipment to the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering (SLSME) on 30 June 2025. The handover ceremony, held at the SLSME premises in Embilipitiya, marked a significant milestone in the growing defense and technical collaboration between the United States and Sri Lanka, underscoring a shared commitment to regional security and military professionalism.
ABF Conducts Awareness Lectures

The Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) conducted a series of awareness lectures at Security Force Headquarters – West, 1 Corps and Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna.
The Non-Commissioned Officers’ Leadership and Career Development Course - 60 conducted at the Combat Training School (CTS) concluded with a certificate awarding ceremony on 17 July 2025.
A specially trained section from each under-command battalion of the 53 Infantry Division (Reserve Strike Force) is competing in the Arrow Head Challenge 2025 – Combat Readiness Competition, which commenced on 14 July 2025 and will conclude on 18 July 2025.
The Security Force Headquarters - West organised a lecture on ‘Reducing Non-Communicable Diseases’ at the Army Physical Training School Indoor Stadium on 09 July 2025, under the guidance of Major General U.K.D.D.P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (West).
An awareness workshop on minimizing audit observations was conducted at the 22 Infantry Division from 26 June 2025 to 29 June 2025. A total of 11 Officers and 64 Other Ranks participated in the workshop.
The Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) conducted an informative lecture on Mental Health and a Satisfying Life on 03 July 2025 at SLSR premises. The session was conducted by Brigadier (Dr.) R.M.M Monaragala USP, the Director of Directorate of Army Preventive Medical & Mental Health and Consultant Psychiatrist, and his team from the Army Mental Health Unit.
A two-day workshop on ‘Military in Internal Security Operations’ (MISO) concluded successfully at the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) on 02 July 2025.
