The Gang Suppression Force (GSF) Pre-deployment Training Course No. 1 – Haiti (Stage I) was successfully concluded on 18 March 2026 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).

The Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) conducted awareness programmes on financial management at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps on 25 February 2026, Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps on 04 March 2026, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment on 10 March 2026 and Sri Lanka Engineers on 17 March 2026.
The Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) conducted awareness lectures at the Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps on 24 February 2026 and at the 14 Infantry Division on 03 March 2026.
An awareness lecture programme on the prevention of non-communicable diseases was conducted by the Healthy Army – Healthy Nation Coordination Office for the Officer Cadets of the Sri Lanka Military Academy on 25 February 2026 at the Academy Auditorium, Diyatalawa.
ABF Conducts Awareness Programme

The Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) conducted an awareness programme at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry on 18 February 2026 and at the Regimental Headquarters of the Corps of Engineer Services on 19 February 2026 with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks.
The Basic Disaster Response Course No. 29 was successfully conducted from 05 January 2026 to 13 February 2026 at the Sri Lanka Army Centre for Disaster Response Training (SLACDRT), Gampola.
The Senior Non-Commissioned Officers’ (SNCOs’) Leadership and Career Development Course No – 58, conducted by the Combat Training School (CTS), Ampara, concluded with a certificates awarding ceremony on 14 February 2026.
A special counselling programme was held at the Mihindu Seth Medura Wellness Centre on 11 February 2026 with the aim of enhancing the mental wellbeing of both the inmates and the staff.
A preliminary awareness lecture on the Warriorpreneurship Programme, organised under the visionary leadership of Major General K.P. Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) WWV RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Honourable Deputy Minister of Defence, was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, at the Army Headquarters on 11 February 2026.
The Pre-deployment Training for Level II Hospital in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) No 13 was successfully concluded on 30 January 2026 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).
