The Gang Suppression Force (GSF) Pre-deployment Training Course No. 1 – Haiti (Stage I) was successfully concluded on 18 March 2026 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).
The course was conducted with the objective of equipping personnel with the essential skills required to operate effectively under a United Nations mandate in Haiti’s complex and high-risk security environment. The programme also included a French language component to enhance interaction with local communities and host-nation partners.
The Commandant of IPSOTSL delivered the closing remarks, appreciating the commitment and enthusiasm demonstrated by all participants throughout the course.
