The Directorate of Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) conducted an awareness programme at the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry on 18 February 2026 and at the Regimental Headquarters of the Corps of Engineer Services on 19 February 2026 with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks.
Colonel K.A.D.C.J. Kodithuwakku, Director ABF, addressed the attendees and outlined the scope and purpose of the Fund. He elaborated on the role of the Fund in uplifting the living standards and financial security of Army personnel. He further explained the proper channels for submitting applications and emphasised the importance of accuracy in documentation to ensure prompt processing.
During the discussions, attention was also drawn to common administrative shortcomings and the need for proper record maintenance at unit level. The interactive sessions enabled participants to seek clarification on membership matters and gain a clearer understanding of the operational procedures of the Fund.
