The Directorate of Legal Services, Human Rights & Humanitarian Law (Dte of Leg Svcs HR & IHL), conducted the Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Course (Other Ranks) No. 30 from 05 May 2025 to 04 June 2025 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL), Kukuleganga.
An Advanced Cyber Security Training Programme was successfully conducted by the Indian Army Mobile Training Team from 5 May to 3 June 2025 at the Ranaviru Information Technology Training Institute (RITTI), Panagoda. The initiative aimed to enhance the cyber defence capabilities of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces by providing in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of contemporary cyber security practices.
Under the supervision of the Directorate of Media and Psychological Operations, a workshop titled ‘Satisfied and Brave Army’ was conducted on 23 and 24 May 2025 at the 24 Infantry Division for the troops of the Division and the Combat Training School, Ampara.
A three-day photography workshop was successfully conducted at the 54 Infantry Division from 20 to 22 May 2025 under the guidance of Major General A.M.C.P. Wijayaratne RWP RSP nps psc, General Officer Commanding, 54 Infantry Division, for troops of battalions under the 21, 54, 56 and 59 Infantry Divisions.

The Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME), in collaboration with the OBD Academy, conducted a two-day workshop on Vehicle Scanning and Diagnosis for a group of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (EME) craftsmen. The training was attended by six Officers and six Other Ranks and was held under the guidance of Major General C. Kalutharaarachchi, Director General of EME, from 08 to 09 May 2025 at the OBD Academy in Athurugiriya.
A lecture on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) was conducted on 01 May 2025 at the Security Forces Headquarters (East) under the guidance of Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, Commander, Security Forces (East). The session, delivered by Captain G.A Rajapaksha of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, aimed to raise awareness and promote good health among the troops of Security Forces (East).
The Battalion Support Weapons (BSW) Officers Course – 88 (2025/I) at the Infantry Training Centre (ITC) in Minneriya concluded with a certificate-awarding ceremony on 29 April 2025. The event was graced by Brigadier M.W.S Millagala RWP RSP USP Hdmc psc, the Commandant of ITC, as the Chief Guest.
The certificate awarding ceremony of ‘Junior Instructor Course - 106’ was held at the Combat Training School (CTS) - Ampara on 10 April 2025. The Commandant of CTS, Brigadier M.P.S.P Kulasekara WWV RWP RSP, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Directorate of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers conducted an awareness programme on Maintenance of Bio Medical Gas System for Officers and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Electrical & Mechanical Engineers at Narahenpita Hospital on 22th April 2025.
