A lecture on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) was conducted on 01 May 2025 at the Security Forces Headquarters (East) under the guidance of Major General P.R Pathiravithana USAWC psc, Commander, Security Forces (East). The session, delivered by Captain G.A Rajapaksha of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, aimed to raise awareness and promote good health among the troops of Security Forces (East).


The Battalion Support Weapons (BSW) Officers Course – 88 (2025/I) at the Infantry Training Centre (ITC) in Minneriya concluded with a certificate-awarding ceremony on 29 April 2025. The event was graced by Brigadier M.W.S Millagala RWP RSP USP Hdmc psc, the Commandant of ITC, as the Chief Guest.


Under the guidance of Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander of Security Forces (Wanni), the Basic Life Saving Course No. 23 was successfully concluded at the 21 Infantry Division on 10 April 2025.


In recent years, online gambling and gaming have become increasingly popular due to its convenience and accessibility. However, it also poses several dangers and harm to the society. In contemporary context it is widely spreaded among Army personnel. Realising the timely importance of this danger, the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) organized an educative lecture on consequences of online gambling and gaming under the directions of Major General A.H.L.G Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, the Commandant (Overlooking)-SLAVF on 08th January 2025
