Sri Lanka Army athletes delivered outstanding performances on 25 October 2025 at the 4th South Asian Senior Athletics Championship, held in Ranchi, India, earning multiple medals and bringing immense pride to the nation and the Sri Lanka Army. In total, Army athletes won 12 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals.
The inaugural Russian–Sri Lankan bilateral military exercise “Wolverine Path 2025” is scheduled to take place from 25 October to 04 November 2025 at the Army Training School (ATS), Maduruoya. Under the direction of Commander of the Army a fleet of Army vehicles has been fully restored to motorable condition by the skilled technicians of the Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME). The repair work carried out at the SLEME Base Workshops, under the supervision of the Directorate of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, have saved the Army a substantial sum of money that would otherwise have been spent on new vehicle acquisitions.
