Major General M.P.K.L Amarasinghe WWV RWP RSP ndc of the Special Forces Regiment assumed duties as the 21st General Officer Commanding of the 12 Infantry Division on 04 December 2025 during a ceremony held at the 12 Infantry Division Headquarters.
In response to an urgent request from the Anuradhapura Blood Bank regarding a critical shortage of blood for kidney, cancer and thalassaemia patients, the 21 Infantry Division organised an immediate mobile blood donation campaign.
Brigadier W.V.S. Botejue (Retd) RWP RSP psc passed away on 25 November 2025 after a brief illness while receiving treatment at the Army Hospital, Narahenpita. He was 76 years old at the time of his demise.
