The dedicated and timely efforts of the troops of 6 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (6 SLSR) and 14 Sri Lanka National Guard (14 SLNG) under 553 Infantry Brigade were formally honoured at a special appreciation ceremony, organised by the District Secretariat, Kilinochchi, on 29 January 2026 at the Headquarters of the 553 Infantry Brigade.
During the event, appreciation certificates were presented by Mr. Muralidaran, the District secretary to the Officers and Other Ranks who actively participated in rescue, relief and rehabilitation activities during the cyclone period.
Senior Officers, Officers, government officials and Other Ranks participated in the event.
