Corps of Engineer Services Bids Farewell to Its 16th Colonel Commandant

Major General K.A.N Rasika Kumara ndc psc formally relinquished his duties as the 16th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) on 17 January 2026 at the Regimental Headquarters.

Upon his arrival, the Outgoing Colonel Commandant was accorded a ceremonial guard turnout followed by a ceremonial parade. Thereafter, he was invited to pose for a group photograph with officers of the Corps of Engineer Services.

Addressing all Ranks, Major General K.A.N Rasika Kumara ndc psc reflected on the significant achievements accomplished by the regiment during his tenure and expressed his sincere appreciation for the dedication and tireless service rendered by officers and other ranks. Adding significance to the occasion, he paid visits to the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess, where he interacted with members and recorded his remarks in the visitors’ books.

The formalities of the day concluded with a farewell dinner hosted in his honour at the Officers’ Mess. Senior Officers, officers and other ranks participated in the event.
