Colonel R.M. Balasuriya USP assumed duties as the Officiating Director, Directorate of Internal Audit of the Sri Lanka Army during a formal ceremony held at the Army Headquarters on 4 June 2025.

A fire erupted on 04 June 2025 at the Devmini Timber Store near Bokundara Junction in Piliyandala. Upon receiving the alert, troops from the 5 Sri Lanka Engineer Regiment and the 1 Sri Lanka Ordnance Corps were immediately deployed to assist.

Troops of the 18th Sri Lanka National Guard were swiftly deployed to douse a wildfire that erupted in the Pihimbiyagolla forest reserve near the Kuragala on 03 June 2025. This was successfully conducted under the instructions of the General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division.

Brigadier K.M.N.A.W.K Perera AATO assumed duties as the new Director of the Directorate of Management & Maintenance (Dte of M&M) on 02 June 2025 during a simple ceremony at Army Headquarters.

The Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers bade farewell to Major General T.C Peiris RSP USP on 29 May 2025, marking the end of his distinguished military career spanning over 34 years.

Brigadier K.A.D.C.R Kannangara RSP ndc officially assumed office as the 17th Director of Sports on 29 May 2025 during a formal ceremony at the Directorate of Sports, Army Cantonment, Panagoda.

In line with the 17th Anniversary of the 61 Infantry Division, the troops of the Division conducted a special social service programme for 50 special needs residents of the Sambodhi Children’s and Elderly Home in Galle on 27 and 28 May 2025, under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding, Major General K.T.P De Silva RSP ndu psc.

Brigadier A.M.R. Abeysinghe ndc assumed duties as the 16th Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army during a brief ceremony held at the Directorate of Provost, Army Headquarters, on 29 May 2025.

In parallel with the National War Heroes’ Memorial Day, the Central Province commemorated the War Heroes on 29 May 2025 at the War Heroes’ Memorial in Mailapitiya.
