The 58 Infantry Division commemorated its 16th Anniversary amidst religious and military formalities under the guidance of Major General A.M.A Abeyawardana WWV RWP RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 58 Infantry Division at the Division Headquarters on 02 July 2025.

One of the most revered War Heroes in Sri Lanka, the late Corporal Gamini Kularathna of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, who laid down his life 34 years ago in defence of the Elephant Pass camp, was commemorated on 14 July 2025 in front of his statue at the Elephant Pass premises during a solemn ceremony organised by the 6th Battalion of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

The annual commemoration ceremony of Captain Saliya Aladeniya PWV of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) took place on 11 July 2025 at Kokavil, honouring his supreme sacrifice and his fellow soldiers who defended the Kokavil Camp against LTTE forces on 11 July 1990.

A 94-year-old man attempted to suicide by jumping from the Mahanama Bridge in Matara on 10 July 2025. Responding swiftly, troops of the 3rd Gemunu Watch rescued the individual and promptly admitted him to Matara General Hospital for medical attention.

Troops of the 212 Infantry Brigade and the 2nd Engineer Services Regiment swiftly responded to a sudden wildfire that broke out in the Viharapalugama Forest Reserve, Pandulagama, Anuradhapura, on 06 July 2025.

Troops of the 18th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) promptly responded to a bush fire that erupted in Koongahawela area, Balangoda. Upon receiving information, the troops swiftly mobilised to the affected site and conducted a well-coordinated effort to bring the situation under control.

Major General W.M.A.B. Wijekoon USP ndc assumed duties as the 29th General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 55 Infantry Division on 01 July 2025 at the 55 Infantry Division amidst military formalities.

Major General B.G.S. Fernando USP Hdmc psc assumed Office as the 56th Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army on 05 July 2025 at the Army Headquarters. After observing the religious rites, he placed his signature in an official document to symbolize his acceptance of the new office at the Army Headquarters.
