Brigadier N.W.P.S.M. Perera assumed duties as the 18th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) on 06 April 2026 at the Regimental Headquarters, CES.
Upon his arrival, he was accorded a Guard Turnout, followed by the laying of a floral wreath in honour of the fallen War Heroes of the Corps and a Guard of Honour.
The Colonel Commandant then posed for a group photograph with officers of the Corps and planted a sapling to mark the occasion. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
