The Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers held a formal farewell ceremony on 02nd April 2026 at the Regimental Centre in Panagoda to honour its outgoing Colonel Commandant, Major General D.K.S.K Dolage USP nps psc. He served as the 24th Colonel Commandant from June 2025 to April 2026 and was recognised for his exemplary leadership, vision and dedication to the Corps.
The event included a Guard Turnout, wreath-laying at the Regimental Monument and a ceremonial parade. He also addressed Officers in a lecture titled “Sappers' Way Forward,” where he shared strategic insights from his 35 years of service and outlined future career guidance for officers.
The day continued with an All Ranks lunch and concluded with a formal farewell dinner attended by Officers and their families, where tributes were paid to his contributions. In his speech, he expressed gratitude to his colleagues and honored fallen soldiers, while reaffirming pride in the Sri Lanka Army.
