Under the Clean Sri Lanka initiative, a Classical Music Therapy programme was conducted at Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on 13 and 14 August 2025, under the supervision of Major General K.A.N. Rasika Kumara ndc psc, Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna).
The session, conducted by Dr. Madura Sanka Gunawardana, Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Colombo and the National Institute of Social Development, provided officers and soldiers of the tri-forces in Jaffna are with a meaningful opportunity to relax, relieve stress, and reflect. Carefully selected uplifting classical music pieces were explored for their therapeutic value, fostering mindfulness, inner strength and emotional renewal.
