  • Army Women Compete in Wrestling

    THE hotly-contested Inter-Regimental wrestling championship of Sri Lanka Army for the year 2010 was held at the Army Physical Training Centre, Panagoda on 31st May. Women soldiers created history at this meet by presenting the first women's wrestling competition in the Army. Men's competition had two sets for veterans and amateurs. In the veterans' competition, 80 competitors from eight regiments competed for the championship in eleven weight categories.
