  • New Tennis Court & Main Dressing Station Opened

     
    Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) at the invitation of the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 61 Division commissioned the new Tennis Court and the new Main Dressing Station, constructed by own troops of the 61 Division on Tuesday (21).
     
  • Kilinochchi Troops Educated on Preventive Measures Against Drugs

     
    To be in line with the ongoing island-wide ‘Drug Eradication’ programme of the Presidential Secretariat, Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Thursday (23) conducted an awareness programme, themed ‘Let’s Develop Our Lives, Our Communities, Our Identities, Without Drugs’ at the Nelum Piyasa auditorium, SFHQ-KLN.
     
     
  • Army Physiotherapists Enlighten PTIs on Prevention of Accidents


    Army physiotherapists and medical experts in the field of Physiotherapy in Panagoda Sport Medical Unit of the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ - West) commenced a series of workshops, on prevention of immediate accidents on Thursday (21). Physical Training Instructors (PTI) in all the SFHQs and officers who have followed the PTI course attended those programmes.
     
     
  • Scholarships Give to Kilinochchi Students


    With the intention of helping school children in Kilinochchi area for their higher studies, a student at St. Theresa’s Girls College, Kilinochchi was awarded  a monthly scholarship worth Rs 2500/= in an event, organized by the 57 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Wednesday (22) at Harmony Centre, Kilinochchi.


  • Gemunu Watch Wins Army Para Archery Championship

     
    The finals of the Army Inter Regiment Para Archery Tournament was held at the Regimental Headquarters Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) in Ambepussa on Wednesday (24) evening. Brigadier B.A.L Ratnayake, Centre Commandant, SLSR graced the occasion as the Chief Guest where 6 Para Archery teams vied for the championship.
     
  • SLMA Cadet Officers Under Training Visit Mullaittivu & Kilinochchi

     
    41 Officer Cadets of Intake 81 presently under training at the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) Diyatalawa on Wednesday (22) visited the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ - MLT) in order to learn more about roles and tasks, being carried out by the SFHQ - MLT troops as part of their training programme.
     
  • 'Foxhill Green' Phase 1 Kicked Off in Diyatalawa

     
    The first phase of the Diyatalawa ‘Foxhill Green’ Reforestation Project, initiated by the Security Force Headquarters-Central (SFHQ-C), kicked off Friday (24) morning at ‘Foxhill’ mountain range, Diyatalawa after a brief ceremony. In addition to 550 Tri-service personnel and the Police, a total of about 75 civil sector environmental activists, 40 school students and invited guests joined the ‘Foxhill Walk’.....
