With the intention of helping school children in Kilinochchi area for their higher studies, a student at St. Theresa’s Girls College, Kilinochchi was awarded a monthly scholarship worth Rs 2500/= in an event, organized by the 57 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Wednesday (22) at Harmony Centre, Kilinochchi.
Mrs. Darshani Ponweera, an Electrical Engineer in Kovel Industries in USA gave away the grants for the month of July to Dilakshani Ravichanthiran, a Grade 12 student of St. Theresa’s Girls College, Kilinochchi.
Brigadier H.J. Senevirathne, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division and the Civil Affairs Officer Lieutenant Colonel T.M.G.B. Tennakoon also attended the event.
