  • Lieutenant General Ashok Singh Pays Tribute to Sri Dalada Maligawa


    General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of India’s Southern Army Command Lieutenant General Ashok Singh, now in Sri Lanka, paid his obeisance to the sacred SriDalada Maligawa in Kandy on Friday (21), together with other members of his delegation. On arrival he was received by General Officer Commanding 11 Division, Brigadier A.W.M.A.W.N Ranawana and conducted to the sacred temple for venerations.

  • COMMANDER REMOVES SENIOR OFFICER FROM HIS APPOINTMENT IN ANURADHAPURA

     
    Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake on hearing that a senior officer in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, had been arrested by the Anuradhapura Police on Saturday (22) evening for alleged possession of narcotics, took immediate steps to remove him from his present appointment in Anuradhapura.
     
     
  • MoD Seva Vanitha to Build New House to War- Affected Widow


    Plans are now in progress to build a new house for the war-affected physically-handicapped widow, Ms Naganadan Jayawadani, currently residing at Araly West, Wadukkodai, Jaffna with her four children on rent.
