  • All Ranks Donate Blood in Jaffna


    Adding one more project to the series of community-oriented schemes, 521 Brigade Headquarters under the 52 Division in Varani, Jaffna recently, conducted a blood donation campaign with the participation of officers and other ranks serving the Division. Medical officers and staff at Manthikai Base Hospital attended the blood donation at the invitation of the 521 Brigade Headquarters.

    Students at Kudarathmale Vidyalaya, a school which remained under terrorist threats in the Padaviya Divisional Secretariat of the Anuradhapura District before conclusion of the humanitarian operations in 2009, received appreciative incentives on Wednesday (13), following arrangements, organized by the 622 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W).

  • People Resettle in New Veheratennagama Hamlet


    The new resettlement village, Veheratennagama, founded between Bogaswewa and Parakramapura villages in the 62 Division area under the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) was vested in 219 Sinhalese families during a ceremony on Wednesday (20). The project goes parallel to the resettlement of displaced civilians elsewhere in the Wanni, North and the East.
  • Second Phase at Keppapulavu Housing Scheme Commenced


    The ceremonial handover of 50 Army built new houses at Keppapulavu Housing Scheme in Mullaittivu for resettled people and the inauguration of the construction of 115 more houses under the second phase of the project commenced on Saturday (16) during a brief ceremony.   • Kilinochchi Woman Soldiers Pass Out in Grand Ceremony


    Sri Lanka Army on Thursday (21)     marked a new turning point in its life span of more than 63 years, by taking the salute of 95 recently-enlisted Tamil woman soldiers who passed out during a colourful Passing out Parade (PoP) at Security Force Headquarters- Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) premises.
