Students at Kudarathmale Vidyalaya, a school which remained under terrorist threats in the Padaviya Divisional Secretariat of the Anuradhapura District before conclusion of the humanitarian operations in 2009, received appreciative incentives on Wednesday (13), following arrangements, organized by the 622 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W).
This school with 36 students and 4 teachers lies in the jungle-infested remote area and lacks modern facilities, but the school in its history produced the first-ever Grade 5 scholarship recipient recently.
622 Brigade Headquarters after realizing the status quo, organized the donation of school accessories to those students to the value of Rs 25,000/=. The programme, organized on the instructions of the 62 General Officer Commanding, saw the 622 Brigade Commander distributing those school accessories among the students.
