Brigadier R.R.M.P.N.B Bambaradeniya RWP RSP USP ndu psc of the Sri Lanka Armoured Corps assumed duties as the 40th Director of the Directorate of Staff Duties during a brief ceremony at Army Headquarters on 10 September 2025.
The Infantry Training Centre (ITC), Minneriya, celebrated its 41st Anniversary on 25 August 2025. The Commandant paid tribute at the War Heroes’ Memorial, followed by a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour. The day concluded with a musical show and an All Ranks Dinner.

The 53 Infantry Division (RSF), headquartered at Inamaluwa, Dambulla, commemorated its 30th Anniversary on 24 August 2025, at the Division Headquarters. The event was held in the presence of Major General G.A.T Godewatte RWP RSP, General Officer Commanding 53 Infantry Division (RSF).
