Three suspects have been arrested with a stock of Wallapatta valued at approximately Rs. 8 million during a special joint operation conducted in Kopiwatta area.
The operation was conducted by Officers of the Police Special Task Force (STF) based on a tip received from the Army Intelligence. According to police sources, the suspect was found in possession of 15.750 grams of Wallapatta during the raid.
Further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Mathugama Forest Office, with assistance from the Police Special Task Force and Army Intelligence Officers.
