A large group of Sri Lankan expatriates residing in Switzerland, France, Italy, UK and other European countries recently conducted a protest in Geneva to pressure the UNSG Ban ki-Moon to discard the controversial ‘Darusman report’ which dealt with accountability issues in Sri Lanka. Two large caches of LTTE arms and ammunition, micro pistols and other paraphernalia, kept buried under concrete pits in Kovilkulam and Samanalankulam in Vavuniya before LTTE terrorism was eliminated were found by troops during the weekend following tips-off received by Military Intelligence Corps.
