  • 3000 More Tamil Language Qualified Army Personnel Receive Proficiency Certificates


    A record 3000 Army personnel serving the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) under the ongoing Tamil Language Proficiency promotion project of the SFHQ-KLN, received their merit certificates  upon completion of their course during a ceremony at Infantry Training School, Bharathipuram, Kilinochchi on Saturday (23).   • At Army Request, Kelaniya Rotarians Quench Thirst of Poonewa Students

    More than 670 students of Medawachchiya Poonewa Maha Vidyalaya, courtesy the patronage received from Kelaniya Rotary Club, are to quench their thirst after the 211 Brigade civil affairs office under the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W), took initiatives to have a drinking water scheme, installed in the school precincts. The drinking water scheme that costs nearly Rs 2 lakhs was commissioned.....

    The Inter-Regiment Novices Boxing Championship-2012, organized by the Army Boxing Committee came to a close at Panagoda Army Physical Training School on Wednesday (27). The five-day (Feb 23-27) tournament, competed by nine regimental teams, representative of Armoured Corps, Sri Lanka Artillery, Sri Lanka Engineers Corps, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Gajaba Regiment, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Sri Lanka Army Service Corps, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps......
