  • New Chief of Staff Takes Over Duties at AHQ


    Major General S.A.P.P Samarasinghe RSP USP psc, new Chief of Staff of the Army assumed duties Tuesday (20) morning during a simple ceremony at his office at the Army Headquarters. A brief religious ceremony, headed by Ven Dr Kirinde Assaji Thero invoked blessings on Major General Samarasinghe and his office soon after he lit the traditional oil lamp upon his arrival at the office.
  • New MGO at Army Headquarters Assumes Office


    Major General N Udawatta WWV RSP USP ndc psc Mphil took over duties as the new Master General Ordnance (MGO) of Master General Ordnance Branch at Army Headquarters on Monday (19) during a brief ceremony at his office. Amidst blessings of the Venerable Maha Sangha, the new MGO signed a formal document and marked the assumption of his duties.  Later on, he spoke to the senior officers and set out his vision as the new MGO.
