  • ESR Billiard & Snooker Players Champion Tournament


    Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) Billiard and Snooker team after qualifying in all five rounds, emerged winners in the final championship round beating their rival, Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) on Thursday (30). 15 Regimental teams competed in the Inter Regiment Billiard and Snooker Tournament of the Army, organized by the Billiard and Snooker Committee of the Army at Panagoda.
     
  • Joint Military Exercise 'Mithra Shakthi' Between Special Forces Of Indian Army & Sri Lanka Army to Begin At Uva-Kudaoya


    Elevating existing relations to new heights and marking the start of a new era of neighbourly understanding and close cooperation between both organizations, a contingent of 42 Indian Army Special Force troops, is to launch the training ‘Exercise - Mithra Shakthi’ at Uva-Kudaoya Commando Regiment Training School (CRTS), beginning Monday (3), together with a corresponding Sri Lankan contingent of Special Forces and Commandos, along with Navy and Air Force personnel.

    Sri Lanka Army engaged in all evacuation and relief operations, now in full swing at Koslandawatta-Meeriyabedda estate areas of Haldummulla Divisional Secretariat brought down a team of sniffer dogs of the Army on Thursday (30), to sniff out for any survivors or the dead under the rubble on the directions of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake who visited the affected location and temporary relief centres.
