Mullaittivu Soldiers Pass Out in Glittering Ceremony

In conformity with military formalities, generally conducted in all military ceremonies elsewhere, 46 recruits enlisted to the 6 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) from Mullaittivu area, passed out on Tuesday (28) during a colourful ceremony upon completion of their three-month long training period at the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT).
 
The ceremony, attended by the Commanding officer of the 4 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI), Lieutenant Colonel, G.D.J.C. Premathilake as the Chief Guest, took place at the SFHQ-MLT ground with the participation of senior officers of the SFHQ –MLT, including parents and relatives of soldiers, and civilians from the area.
 

The Passing Out Parade (PoP), saluted the Chief Guest, in accordance with military traditions in the Guard of Honour, accorded to him after he reviewed the parade.  

Soon after the PoP, those soldiers staged a PT demonstration on their own and a band display, adding colour, excitement and variety to the occasion as the invitees burst into rapturous applause.
 
A subsequent get-together these soldiers, have had with their parents and relatives afterwards attended by the General Officer Commanding, 68 Division   saw all of them emotionally embrace with one another in glee before those soldiers move out to take up duties .
 
Senior Officers took time off to speak to each and every parent of those new soldiers, attending the occasion and shared a couple of views and pleasantries with them.
